Dr Carolyn Smalley retires from the Practice on 30th September 2019 and we welcome Dr Dmitri Jegorov as her replacement.

Please note the Practice will be shut for training on Tuesday 17th September 2019 from 12:30 pm and will re-open as usual on Wednesday 18th September 2019 at 08:30.

Change to service: As from 7th August 2019, it has been agreed that the reception staff should ask patients 'why they need to be seen'. Reception staff are trained to ask certain questions in order to ensure that you receive:

The most appropriate medical care, from the most appropriate health professional, at the the most appropriate time.

Community Midwives

Our midwives form the Banwell Team and hold clinics on a Wednesday afternoon at the surgery. In conjunction with your doctor they provide antenatal care. The midwives and the health visitors hold 'preparation for parenthood' classes. Urgent midwifery advice may be obtained by telephoning Princess Alexandra Hospital Harlow (01279) 444455 (ext 7103 during office hours or ask for maternity bleep holder out of hours).

Community Nurses

The Community Nursing team are based Latton Bush Centre. If you are confined to your home and need nursing assistance, then your doctor can arrange for a community nursing sister to call. If you have been discharged from hospital but still need nursing treatment at home then the hospital will usually arrange for a community nurse to visit you. Health Visitors

The health visitors are employed by the South Essex Partnership Trust and are based at Keats House, Bush Fair. The Health Visitors are responsible for monitoring the health and development of all pre-school children. Baby Clinics are held on a Thursday at the ABC Centre near the Surgery. The Health Visitors are happy to offer any advice and may be contacted on Harlow (01279) 698685.
