Appointments

You can make appointments to see your doctor by coming into the surgery or by telephoning Harlow (01279) 418136. You can also make appointments using our online services. Please view our Online Services tab at the top of this page for more information.

GP Appointments

Morning surgery runs from 09:00 – 11:00 Monday - Friday. Appointments are at 10-minute intervals. If there are multiple problems to be resolved the GP may ask you to book a second appointment at a later date to address the additional problem due to time constraints.

Some of the appointments (60%) are bookable up to 4 weeks in advance, others are ‘book on days’ and any patients who cannot be fitted into these slots and states that their problem is urgent, is given an emergency appointment after 11:00 to deal with the one problem.

Evening/Afternoon surgeries – Monday to Friday 14:30 – 17:00. These consist of pre-booked, ‘book on day’ appointments and any patients who cannot be fitted into these slots and states that their problem is urgent, is given an emergency appointment after 17:00 and are asked to come and wait to be seen as an extra. 

Antenatal patients are seen at various times depending on the registered GP but range over lunchtime and early afternoons.

Post-Natal and 6-week checks are usually seen before or after a surgery and are booked at the convenience of the patient and their GP.

Practice Nurses

Wide range of appointments covering Monday to Friday commencing 09:00 and continuing throughout the day to 17:50 (lunch break 12:30 – 13:30).

Evening and Weekends appointments - provided by Herts Urgent Care

You can now see a GP or another healthcare professional on weekday evenings and weekends. To book an appointment, please call the surgery. To find out more about the service, including the treatment centres where you may be seen, please go to https://hucweb.co.uk/services/gp-extended-access/

If you have booked an evening or weekend appointment in West Essex via your GP surgery and need to cancel or change it, please ring NHS111 and select option 3.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
